8/8/2023 0 Comments Oculus sdk 1.3.2How we interact with content in XR is fundamentally different than interacting on a mobile device or desktop computer. Wolvic is built for XR, and that matters. Wolvic also lets you find immersive stuff on the web and jump into it. You don’t want to leave the immersive environment to access it. It’s true that XR is full of interesting things, but huge amount of information is already on the web and will continue to be created on the web. WebXR, too, will offer opportunities to continue to expand XR (eXtended Reality), in the model of the Web - and that is most ideally experienced through a browser built for XR. It's a bit more work than having to just do it once before starting the game but still so worth it.…and our sponsors and contributors Why a web browser in XR?īecause entering a virtual experience should NOT exclude you from accessing the vast resources the Web has to offer. Long story short, thanks for posting this because it seriously make a huge difference in my opinion.Īlso side note, I hope Kunos add an in game option for oversampling because since the races in that game are run in a different exe, I have to open the debug tool each time before loading a race, then close the tool after it's loaded. Maybe I had some other settings turned up. ATW was definitely having to pick up the slack and strafing my head left and right in that one brought on all kinds of judder. I tried this in Pcars and it looked better as well buy it killed performance in that one. I think I am right in this but ATW only helps with rotational movement, so to test if is was losing frames I would strafe my head left and right and still get 0 judder. ATW doesnt seem like its even having to kick in. I have a 980ti and get absolutely now perceivable performance lose in Assetto Corsa. But setting the debug tool to 2 makes such an unbelievable difference. I was so stoked with assetto corsa finally updated their game to CV1 but even after doing all the suggested settings it just seemed so blurry still. I cannot thank you enough for sharing this. But I recognize that VR is so different and needs to be finely tuned, so many factors for comfort on both the conscious and sub conscious level are at play that maybe even I am not to be trusted to know whats best for me for the time being. I do like having access to graphical settings and love tweaking things for a lot of reasons. Plus a better understanding from the developer side on what options should be tweak able and by how much. I don't doubt we will get these options eventually, but only after much more education AND hands on time with VR. Things might feel ok at first, smoother than our normal gaming experience, but 20 minutes later it's starting to take it's toll on the players body and they start blaming the headset, the developer or VR in general for something not being ready, or done proper. A PC gamer will try to max things out and push it too much while thinking things are running ok without realizing they are hitting 70fps not 90 thus making ASTW start doing some heavy lifting, or not realize that 90fps that is being reported is only after ASTW is doing its thing.
